Yoga Arava 2018 – Earth to Sky
Timna
At Yoga Arava 2018 you can experience a sense of oneness and recognize how nothing is separate through the practice of yoga. Would we know light without dark? Understand up without down? By exploring both sides of a coin, we have deeper understanding of the universe, of each other, of ourselves.Over the weekend we’ll explore various ways to ground which will help us soar with lightness and ease both on the mat and off.
Asana practices will include vigorous vinyasa sequences and workshop style classes getting into details and support of arm balances, inversions and graceful transitions. Yin yoga to aid in understanding the importance of surrender. Pranayama and meditation practices to cleanse and aid in awareness of the subtle, energetic bodies. Sound baths and physically connecting to the earth to find a sense of healing and deep knowing the universe is a source of unconditional support.
The weekend together with Eddy and Jackie will include well rounded, vigorous vinyasa and workshop style classes with a focus on arm balancing, transitions and inversions. As well as yin yoga, meditation, pranayama, chanting and a few other surprises. The weekend will be approached with a sense of play and light heartedness with direction and encouragement towards using the practices for self reflection and discovery of a deeper connection to atman.
Jackie teaches Jivamukti yoga and Eddy teaches Power Vinyasa.
Expect to build Tapas (internal heat) while being moved creatively in challenging sequences to groovy beats. Be prepared to sweat and to meet your healthy edge. All types of postures will be explored including arm balances and inversions.
Jackie and Eddy will also incorporate some Yin/Restorative yoga throughout the Yoga Arava 2017 weekend to balance out the body.
All levels welcome but beginners will be challenge.
